Cracked screen, black spots or coloured lines
Tell us whether the issue started after a drop, pressure on the lid or another incident. A damaged display may show a visible crack, black patches or vertical and horizontal lines even when some of the image still works. We assess the display and surrounding frame before confirming a replacement.
MacBook turns on but the screen is black
A blank screen can have more than one cause, including a startup problem. Tell us whether the keyboard lights up, you hear a startup sound, or the picture appears on an external display if you have already tried one. These observations help with diagnosis; they do not prove that a new screen will fix it.
Flickering or a picture that changes with the lid angle
Intermittent display faults need inspection. Note whether the picture changes with ordinary lid movement or only happens in particular apps. Avoid repeatedly flexing a damaged lid. We check the fault before quoting the appropriate repair rather than assuming every flicker requires a full display.
MacBook will not turn on, will not charge or has liquid damage
These are assessment enquiries rather than automatic screen-replacement jobs. Contact us with the model and what happened. Other MacBook repairs are quoted after assessment, and their timing is separate from our 1–2 hour screen-replacement estimate. If liquid has entered the device, stop using it, disconnect the charger if safe and contact us before attempting to charge it again.
Which MacBook model do you have?
Look for the A-number printed on the bottom case. If it starts, About This Mac also shows the family, chip and year. “MacBook Air M2” can mean the 13-inch A2681 or 15-inch A2941, with different screen prices. A2338 covers both the 13-inch MacBook Pro M1 and M2. Match the size and year as well as the code.

Is a black MacBook screen always a broken display?
No. A blank startup screen can also be related to startup software, power or another fault. Tell us what the device does when you try to start it. We diagnose the cause before recommending a repair.
Can I get my MacBook screen repaired today?
Many straightforward screen replacements take 1–2 hours with the correct screen in stock. Call ahead so we can confirm stock, workload and enough time before closing. Other faults and extra damage may require a different turnaround.
Do I need to back up my MacBook before a repair?
Back up important files if the device is working and it is safe to do so. Every repair carries some risk of data loss. Let us know if protecting or recovering data is your priority, and do not send passwords in online enquiry notes.
