Our repair warranty is an extra promise
Warranty period as stated on your repair receipt. It operates in addition to rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Repair coverage
Warranty period
The additional Digital Force warranty period for your repair is the period stated on your repair receipt. These warranty terms do not limit any rights or remedies that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
What the repair warranty means
Covered faults and exclusions
The additional repair warranty covers a defect in the part supplied by Digital Force or a fault caused by our workmanship. We may inspect the device to confirm the cause.
It does not cover a new or recurring problem caused by physical impact, a cracked or bent device, liquid or moisture, misuse, unauthorised modification, work carried out by another repairer after our repair, normal wear, software, data loss, or a fault unrelated to the repaired part. These exclusions only apply where that event caused or contributed to the problem being claimed.
Back-glass and housing repairs do not carry an additional stated repair warranty because later damage is normally impact-related. We will still assess any concern fairly, and nothing in this policy limits your legal rights.
If something is not right
How to make a warranty claim
- Stop using the device if continued use may cause further damage.
- Contact Digital Force as soon as practical by calling 0432 765 605 or emailing digitalforceau@gmail.com.
- Bring the device and reasonable proof of the repair, such as your receipt, to our Springwood store.
- Allow us to inspect the device and confirm whether the repaired part or workmanship caused the fault.
If the claim is accepted under our additional repair warranty, we will rectify the covered repair or replace the covered part without charging for that work. Please contact us before incurring transport or third-party costs. Responsibility for reasonable claim expenses will be handled as required by Australian Consumer Law.
Price confirmation
Online prices are a guide
Most straightforward repairs can be completed at the price shown online. Before starting, we confirm the exact device, its condition, the correct repair and part, current availability and the final price.
Unusual damage, previous repair work, frame damage, multiple faults or a different diagnosis may change the price. If that happens, we will explain the reason and obtain your approval before carrying out additional work. You can decline the revised work before it begins.
Please back up first
Device data and replacement parts
Electronic repairs can involve a risk of data loss. Back up your device before leaving it with us wherever possible. Do not enter passwords or device passcodes into the online booking notes. If access is genuinely needed for testing, provide it directly to staff.
Replacement-part type and grade vary by repair option. Depending on the option selected, parts may be aftermarket, original-equipment service parts or refurbished original parts. We confirm the applicable part type before starting. Any repair notice required for possible data loss or use of refurbished parts will also be provided before the device is accepted for repair.
Please collect promptly
30-day collection policy
Please collect and pay for your device within 30 days after we notify you that it is ready. If it is not collected within that period, or we cannot reach you after reasonable repeated attempts using the contact details you provided, we will mark it as uncollected in our records and begin our uncollected-device handling process.
This process includes recording contact attempts, following up where possible and moving the device to designated storage. Please keep your contact details up to date and contact us before collecting an overdue device.
This is an internal handling policy, not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell or dispose of your device after 30 days. Any sale or disposal will only take place after the applicable legal notice, waiting-period and other requirements under Queensland law have been met. Customers remain responsible for collection and any outstanding authorised repair charges.
Your legal rights
Australian Consumer Law
Australian Consumer Law provides automatic consumer guarantees. They are separate from any additional Digital Force warranty, cannot be negotiated away, and may continue for a reasonable time beyond the written warranty period. A claim still needs to be assessed to determine what caused the problem and what remedy applies.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.
If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
Read more about warranties and consumer guarantees on the ACCC website, and the Queensland rules for uncollected goods.
